People have virtually unlimited needs, but the economic resources to supply those needs are limited. As pessoas têm necessidades virtualmente ilimitadas, mas os recursos econômicos para satisfazer essas necessidades são limitados.

Therefore, the greatest benefit of an economy is to provide the most desirable consumer goods and services in the most desirable amounts - what is known as the efficient allocation of economic resources. Portanto, o maior benefício de uma economia é fornecer os bens e serviços de consumo mais desejáveis nas quantidades mais desejáveis - o que é conhecido como alocação eficiente de recursos econômicos.

The financial system is composed of the products and services provided by financial institutions, which include banks, insurance companies, pension funds, organized exchanges, and the many other companies that serve to facilitate economic transactions. O sistema financeiro é composto pelos produtos e serviços fornecidos pelas instituições financeiras, que incluem bancos, companhias de seguros, fundos de pensões, bolsas organizadas e muitas outras empresas que servem para facilitar as transações econômicas.
