§ A COUPLE OF, dependendo do contexto, pode ser:

§ INCORRETA porque na sentença, HALF funciona como um PRE-DETERMINANTE e neste caso não é seguido da preposição OF.
§ HALF é usado como PRÉ-DETERMINANTE quando seguido de A, THE, THIS, HIS (my, your, his, her, its, our, their).
§ DICA: Em inglês, para dizer algo como "metade dos meus amigos", "metade da população", "metade das revistas", etc., basta dizer "half my friends", "half the popular", "half the magazines".
§ Observe que em português usamos a preposição "DE" e em inglês não.
