-CONSIDERAÇÕES INICIAIS SOBRE O PRESENT PERFECT:

- ESTRUTURA GRAMATICAL: WILL HAVE + PARTICÍPIO PASSADO (of Main Verb).

*VERBOS NO PARTICÍPIO PASSADO: (arrived, arisen, bought, been, chatted, chosen, caught, cooked, done, eaten, gone, graduated, guzzled, had, fallen, found, felt, fixed, fried, known, left, loved, laughed, made, missed , opened, preferred, read, risen, run, seen , stopped, swallowed, talked, taught , thrived, viewed, washed, woken up, etc.)

- USO TEMPORAL CONTEXTUAL:

• O tempo verbal FUTURE PERFECT refere-se a algo que TERÁ ACONTECIDO ou TERÁ CONCLUÍDO ANTES DE UM OUTRO PONTO NO FUTURO.
• É UM TEMPO VERBAL QUE SEMPRE MOSTRA O DEADLINE (prazo de entrega, data limite) DE UMA DETERMINADA AÇÃO QUE IRÁ ACONTECER NO FUTURO.
• Ex.: 10 years from now I will have married. - Daqui a 10 anos estarei casado.
• CUIDADO: Quando afirmo que "10 years from now I will have married." quer dizer daqui a 10 anos, eu terei casado em um único evento, estático no tempo: “casar”.
• CUIDADO:
• A estrutura é WILL + HAVE + Particípio Passado, independentemente do sujeito (I, you, he , she, it, we, you, they).
• John will have finished his course by next year. - John terá terminado seu curso até o ano que vem.
• I will have finished my course by next year. - Eu terei terminado meu curso até o ano que vem.
• MAIS EXEMPLOS:
• It’s likely that by 2100, average world temperatures will have risen by two to five degrees - É provável que até 2100, as temperaturas médias do mundo tenham subido de dois a cinco graus. [Macmillan Dictionary]
• On 14 October I will have worked here ten years. - No dia 14 de outubro terei trabalhado aqui dez anos.
• By the end of next month he will have been here for ten Years. Até o final do próximo mês ele estará aqui por dez anos.

- Diferença entre FUTURE PERFECT e SIMPLE FUTURE:

* Estruturas temporais indicadoras de FUTURE PERFECT:  Until that, Before, By the time, By then, By 6 pm, When.

• By 6pm, I'll have had dinner - Até as 18h, eu terei jantado.
• I hope they will have cleaned their rooms by the time we get home. -  Espero que eles tenham limpado seus quartos quando chegarmos em casa.
• I bet they won't have cleaned their rooms by the time we get home. - Aposto que não terão limpado seus quartos quando chegarmos em casa. (won't = will + not)
• I'll have completed my assignment by 3 o'clock. - Terei completado minha tarefa às 3 horas. 
• John will have baked a cake before you arrive. - John terá feito um bolo antes de você chegar.
• Until that, I'll have finished to pack everything. - Até lá, eu terei terminado de embalar tudo.
• By then, I'll have done many professional courses. - Até lá, já terei feito muitos cursos profissionalizantes.
• Before you go, they will have arrived. - Antes que você vá eles já terão chegado.
• By the time you arrive, we will have finished the meal and the speeches. - Quando você chegar, teremos terminado a refeição e os discursos.
• Will you have read the book by 10 p.m.? - Yes, I will. No, I won't.
• EXEMPLOS no Simple Future:
• I'm going to travel abroad next week - Eu viajarei para fora semana que vem. (SIMPLE FUTURE)
• I'll visit a friend tonight - Eu irei visitar um amigo hoje à noite. (SIMPLE FUTURE)

-RESOLUÇÃO RÁPIDA DA QUESTÃO:

To what extent, if at all, do you feel that your generation will have had a better or worse life than your parent’s generation, or will it be about the same?

(Até que ponto você acha que sua geração terá tido uma vida melhor ou pior do que a geração de seus pais, ou será mais ou menos a mesma?)

a) shows that something will be in progress at a particular moment in the future. (mostra que algo estará em andamento em um determinado momento no futuro.)

• INCORRETA porque o Future Perfect mostra que algo estará CONCLUÍDO e NÃO EM ANDAMENTO em um determinado momento no futuro.

b) refers to something that will be looked back on at a certain time in the future. (refere-se a algo que será LEMBRADO / CITADO em um determinado momento no futuro.)

• CORRETA porque o Future Perfect mostra que algo estará CONCLUÍDO num determinado ponto do futuro e neste ponto necessariamente será lembrado, pois ação definitivamente terá terminada.

c) is used to talk about actions that will continue for a period of time in the future.

• INCORRETA porque o Future Perfect NÃO é usado para falar sobre ações que continuarão por um período de tempo no futuro.  É uma ação isolada no futuro antes de uma outra ação que também acontece no futuro.

d) can be used to talk about intentions and plans that will happen in the future.

• INCORRETA porque intenções e planos que acontecerão no futuro é caso de Simple Future e não de Future Perfect.
