Fast, maneuverable, and dangerous, the trireme was the most feared ship in ancient Greece. Rápido, manobrável e perigoso, o trirreme era o navio mais temido da Grécia antiga.

With powerful bronze rams and the ability to turn on a dime, it would leave enemy ships dead in the water by punching holes in their sides or smashing their oars. Com poderosos aríetes de bronze e a capacidade de girar rapidamente, ele deixaria os navios inimigos mortos na água, perfurando suas laterais ou quebrando seus remos.

In his Histories, Herodotus writes how Greek naval dominance owed so much to the brilliant use of triremes in battle. Em suas Histórias, Heródoto escreve como o domínio naval grego devia muito ao uso brilhante de trirremes na batalha.
