Neste post, veremos questões de vestibulares envolvendo o tópico "PASSIVE VOICE".


Por que usamos a VOZ PASSIVA?
A voz passiva dar ao objeto (direto ou indireto, complementos do verbo) mais importância do que ao sujeito.
A voz passiva é usada sempre que num determinado contexto a ação praticada ou um objeto forem muito mais importantes do que quem a praticou.
QUESTÃO 1 (FAAP):
The passive form of the sentence "The International Court of Hague rejected an attempt by New Zealand to stop further French nuclear tests in the South Pacific" is:
(A) An attempt by New Zealand to stop further French nuclear tests in the South Pacific have been rejected by The International Court of Justice in Hague
(B) An attempt by New Zealand to stop further French nuclear tests in the South Pacific would be rejected by The International Court of Justice in Hague

 O tempo verbal na Voz Ativa é SIMPLE PAST(rejected).
 To reject(alimentar)=reject/rejected/rejected. 
• A estrutura passiva é: was rejected.

(Uma tentativa da Nova Zelândia de impedir mais testes nucleares franceses no Pacífico Sul foi rejeitada pelo Tribunal Internacional de Justiça em Haia.)

A voz passiva de "Somebody must send me the new books" é:

 A oração na voz ativa é:
"Somebody must send me the new books."(Alguém deve me enviar os novos livros.)
 O tempo verbal na Voz Ativa é SIMPLE PRESENT(send).
 To send(enviar)=send/sent/sent
 A estrutura passiva modal com MUST é: must be sent.
"The new books must be sent to me."(Os novos livros devem ser enviados para mim.)

QUESTÃO 4 (MACK-SP):
The Passive Voice of "It is alleged that he stole a car" is:
(A) He is alleged to have stolen a car.
(B) The car is alleged to have stolen by him.
(C) It was alleged that the car is stolen by him.
(D) It is alleged that he has stolen a car.
(E) He alleged that the car was stolen by him.
• ANSWER (A)
 A oração dada na questão já está na voz passiva (voz passiva sintética):
"It is alleged that he stole a car."(Alega-se que ele roubou um carro.)
 A outra forma diferente de se dizer a mesma coisa na voz passiva seria:
"He is alleged to have stolen a car."(Ele é acusado de ter roubado um carro.).
 Estrutura típicos com a voz passiva sintética:
 It is said that...= Diz-se que...
 It is reported that...= Relata-se que...
 It is believed that...= Acredita-se que...
QUESTÃO 5 (MACK-SP):
Change the following sentence to the Passive Voice:
"Thousands of people ride the underground every morning."
(A) The underground is ridded by thousands of people every morning.
(B) The underground was rode by thousands of people every morning.

 A oração na voz ativa é:
"Thousands of people ride the underground every morning."
(Milhares de pessoas andam de metrô todas as manhãs.)
 O tempo verbal na Voz Ativa é SIMPLE PRESENT(ride).
 To ride=ride/rode/ridden. 
 A estrutura passiva é: is ridden.
"The underground is ridden by thousands of people every morning."
(O metrô é utilizado por milhares de pessoas todas as manhãs.)
