Approach, method and technique
Approach is the level at which assumptions and beliefs about language and language learning are specified. It describes the nature of the subject matter to be taught.
Method is the level at which theory is put into practice and at which choices are made about the particular skills to be taught, the content to be taught, and the order in which the content will be presented.
A technique is implementational - that which actually takes place in a classroom. It is a particular trick, stratagem, or contrivance used to accomplish an immediate objective. Techniques must be consistent with a method, and therefore in harmony with an approach as well.

Abordagem é o nível em que as suposições e crenças sobre a língua e a aprendizagem de línguas são especificadas. Descreve a natureza do assunto a ser ensinado.
Method is the level at which theory is put into practice and at which choices are made about the particular skills to be taught, the content to be taught, and the order in which the content will be presented. Método é o nível em que a teoria é colocada em prática e em que são feitas escolhas sobre as habilidades específicas a serem ensinadas, o conteúdo a ser ensinado e a ordem em que o conteúdo será apresentado.
A technique is implementational - that which actually takes place in a classroom. Uma técnica é implementacional – aquilo que realmente ocorre em uma sala de aula.
It is a particular trick, stratagem, or contrivance used to accomplish an immediate objective. É um truque, estratagema ou artifício específico usado para atingir um objetivo imediato.
Techniques must be consistent with a method, and therefore in harmony with an approach as well. As técnicas devem ser consistentes com um método e, portanto, também em harmonia com uma abordagem.
