A couple offended two policemen and tore their uniforms who had stopped their car on Delhi’s Minto Road, after the man was found driving drunk, police said.
Um casal ofendeu dois polícias e rasgou os seus uniformes que pararam o carro na Minto Road, em Deli, depois do homem ter sido apanhado conduzindo embriagado, disse a polícia.
The man’s wife even claimed to be a member of the Delhi Commission for Women and threatened the traffic police personnel, they added.
A mulher do homem chegou a afirmar ser membro da Comissão de Mulheres de Deli e ameaçou os polícias de trânsito, acrescentaram.
The incident happened on the night of May 24 when Harikesh and his wife, accompanied by their child and her parents, were going towards Mayur Vihar from New Delhi Railway Station.
O incidente aconteceu na noite de 24 de maio, quando Harikesh e a mulher, acompanhados pela filha e pelos pais desta, se dirigiam para Mayur Vihar, a partir da Estação Ferroviária de Nova Deli.
They were stopped by assistant sub-inspector Shrinath Chaubey while checking for drunk driving on Minto Road.

After Harikesh blew into the alcometer, it was found that the alcohol limit in his body was 52mg/100ml.
Depois de Harikesh ter soprado no alcoolímetro, descobriu-se que o limite de álcool no seu corpo era de 52 mg/100 ml.

The traffic policemen tried talking to Harikesh, but he got out of his car and started calling them ‘thieves’, police said.

Meanwhile, his wife also came out of the car, slapped a policeman and even tore his uniform.

The accused was arrested and he is currently lodged in Tihar Jail. Since it was nighttime, the woman was allowed to go and was asked to come the next day. However, she has not returned up till now.
O acusado foi detido e encontra-se atualmente detido na Cadeia de Tihar. Como era de noite, a mulher foi autorizada a ir, mas foi convidada a regressar no dia seguinte. No entanto, ela não regressou até ao momento.
